WASHINGTON, D.C., April 11, 2026 — In response to the allegations against Rep. Eric Swalwell, Brady President Kris Brown released the following statement:
We unequivocally believe the courageous women who have shared their experiences of sexual harassment and assault by Rep. Eric Swalwell. The detailed reporting of their accounts makes strikingly clear that Swalwell is unfit for office.
Swalwell’s desperate denials, victim-blaming, and legal scare tactics are far too commonly used to smear victims of sexual abuse while chilling others from coming forward. Let that stop now. As one of the victims bravely noted, the ‘only person’ Eric Swalwell has to blame for the accountability he now faces is Eric Swalwell.
There is only one right response: Eric Swalwell must resign from Congress and drop out of the California governor’s race now.
