Mike Song opens a quick safe that contains an image of his son Ethan

Mike and Kristin Song's beloved son, Ethan, was only 15 when he was killed with a friend's father's unsecured firearm. Since that terrible day in 2018, Mike and Kristin have been fighting to protect other children like Ethan from gun violence with their organization Song Strong. They've been successful in spreading the passage of Ethan's Law, a bill that requires firearms on residential premises to be safely stored if a minor is likely to gain access without permission, or if a resident is ineligible to possess a firearm.

Together they re-joined host JJ to discuss Ethan's life, the importance of safe storage, how legislation like Ethan's law could save lives, and why safe storage is just another norm that parents need to participate in to keep kids safe.
