President Trump has nominated Kash Patel, a known gun rights extremist and conspiracy theorist, to lead the FBI.

As Director of the FBI, Patel's record shows that he would allow political violence to flourish and intentionally undermine the Brady Background Check system, putting more guns into the hands of people convicted of murder, gun trafficking, and domestic abuse.
