Trump for inciting a violent attack on Congress and calls on the U.S. Senate to quickly convene a trial and remove him from office.Brady President Kris Brown shared:“The U.S. House of Representatives has put country before partisanship and taken action, not sides, by voting to impeach President Trump just one week after he incited a violent mob to attack the U.S. Capitol. This impeachment, with 10 Republicans, including Rep. Cheney (R-WY), Chairwoman of the Republican Conference, joining with their colleagues across the aisle in the most bipartisan impeachment vote in history, is a needed step to hold the President accountable and show that no person is above the law in the United States of America.Brady calls on the U.S. Senate to reconvene immediately to try the President and convict him for what is clearly an impeachable offense. Even as we approach the constitutionally determined end of his term, President Trump must be removed from office and prevented from ever holding elected office again. Every day that he is in office, he remains a threat to our nation’s public safety, and the threat of him serving in any capacity in elected office must be permanently removed.”
