Washington, D.C., November 6, 2018 - This evening, Antonio Delgado was elected to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District, displacing NRA favorite Rep. John Faso. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which had made NY-19 one of the organization’s nine priority districts in the 2018 midterms, congratulated Delgado on his hard-fought victory.
Kris Brown, co-president of the Brady Campaign, stated,
“We are so proud of the hard-fought victory that Antonio Delgado won tonight, turning this district from one devoted to the NRA to one dedicated to protecting his constituents from gun violence. Congratulations to Congressman-elect Delgado - we look forward to working with you in Washington!”
Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence. We work across Congress, the courts, and our communities with over 90 grassroots chapters, bringing together young and old, red and blue, and every shade of color to find common ground in the common sense. In the spirit of our founders Jim and Sarah Brady, we have fought for over 25 years to take action, not sides, and we will not stop until this epidemic ends. It’s in our hands.
