BRADY CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON TENNESSEE CHURCH SHOOTING

Washington D.C., September 25, 2017 — Brady Campaign co-president Kris Brown issued the following statement on yesterday's shooting at a Tennessee church that left one person dead and seven injured.

"Our hearts go out to the victims, the community of Antioch, and all impacted by this tragedy in a place of worship. As a nation, we've been here far too many times in recent years. We applaud local police for asking the ATF for an 'urgent trace' of the guns used in this crime, and we echo that request."

Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence. We work across Congress, the courts, and our communities with over 90 grassroots chapters, bringing together young and old, red and blue, and every shade of color to find common ground in common sense. In the spirit of our namesakes Jim and Sarah Brady, we have fought for over 45 years to take action, not sides, and we will not stop until this epidemic ends. It’s in our hands.
