“An Experienced Leader” Brady Praises Selection of Former Ambassador Susan Rice to Serve in the Biden Administration

Washington, D.C., December 10, 2020 – Brady strongly supports the designation of former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council. Ambassador Rice is a veteran of the Obama-Biden and Clinton-Gore Administrations and she has worked to solve our nation’s and the world’s most pressing issues, including gun violence. Ambassador Rice understands the scope of our nation’s gun violence epidemic and has shown that she will not hesitate to act to address gun violence in all of its forms.

Brady President Kris Brown explained:

“During her time in government, Ambassador Rice helped to address our nation’s most pressing problems, among them gun violence. As Ambassador to the United Nations, she was pivotal in the global effort to reduce violence and gun trafficking worldwide. She intimately understands our nation’s gun violence epidemic and will bring that experience with her to the Domestic Policy Council, where the Biden-Harris Administration will not hesitate to act to help save the more than 100 people killed by gun violence every day. Ambassador Rice is a wise choice to lead the Domestic Policy Council. She is a strong and proven leader. Brady looks forward to working with her to address gun violence in America.”
