Episode 4: Joan Peterson on domestic violence, ERPOs, and how to be proactive

Joan Peterson became a gun violence prevention activist after she lost her sister, Barbara Lund, to domestic violence. Barbara and her boyfriend, former Iowa state legislator Kevin Kelly, were shot and killed in her home in August 1992 by her estranged husband. Today, Joan tells JP and JJ about her long history of being an activist, why extreme risk prevention orders need to be passed into law, why background checks matter, and even how to deal with trolls on the internet. Joan's pretty great, in case you couldn't tell.
