Towner v. Century Arms LLC
Brady Legal is representing the victims and the families of the mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in San Francisco, CA. We're seeking damages and injunctive relief from Century Arms LLC., for marketing and selling the WASR-10 military-style assault rifle used in the shooting.
On July 28, 2019, an individual entered the festival while armed with a WASR-10 semi-automatic rifle that was equipped with a 75-round drum magazine, wearing a bulletproof vest, and carrying five additional 40-round magazines. This individual attacked festival goers, killing three while an additional 17 people were injured. Police confronted the gunman, who died by suicide.
“The victims and survivors of the mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival will never be the same. But they have summoned the courage to take action to prevent others from suffering as they have. They have brought this lawsuit to stop the deliberate, irresponsible, and unlawful sale and marketing of military-style weapons in hopes of stopping future tragedies and saving more families from this pain.Vice President and Counsel of Brady Legal Jon Lowy
