The End Family Fire campaign provides education and dialogue around the role of safe firearm storage to prevent family fire — shootings involving an improperly stored gun, often found in the home.

The Combating Crime Guns Initiative works to stem the flow of guns into the urban, often Black and Brown, communities most impacted by gun violence with a focus on the supply-side of gun violence.

Team ENOUGH is Brady’s youth-led initiative to educate and mobilize young people in the fight against gun violence.

Brady is uniting people from coast to coast, gun owners and non-gun owners, progressive, conservative, and everything in between, to end the epidemic of gun violence by getting involved in their local communities.

Brady believes that we can’t prevent gun violence until we ensure everyone can fairly participate in our democracy.

The Brady Background Check System has prevented more than 4.4 million prohibited gun transfers and permits since it will into effect, saving countless lives. However, gaps in the law have arisen over the years, particularly with the development of the internet. Expanding and strengthening this system is crucial to ensuring a strong foundation for all other gun laws.

The strategies and policies necessary to prevent gun violence require an approach tailored to each form and its root cause. Policymakers must account for the ways in which gun violence impacts every community differently.

In addition to Brady’s legislative efforts in Congress and at the federal level, Brady’s state policy team and grassroots advocates play a critical role in writing, sponsoring, and passing common-sense gun laws at the state and local levels.
