San Francisco, California, July 28, 2021 - Today, Brady Legal joins Scarlett Law Group on behalf of the victims and families affected by the July 28, 2019, mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in seeking damages and injunctive relief from Century Arms LLC, for marketing and selling the WASR-10 military-style assault rifle used in the shooting. The gun was used to kill three people and wound 17 at the festival.Randall H. Today’s filing includes an amended complaint to include product liability, negligence, and public nuisance charges against Century Arms LLC., the distributor that channeled the firearm used in the shooting.About the 2019 Mass Shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival:The Gilroy Garlic Festival has been held annually on the last full weekend in July at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy, California since 1979. On July 28, 2019, an individual entered the festival, while armed with a WASR-10 semi-automatic rifle that was equipped with a 75-round drum magazine, wearing a bulletproof vest, and carrying five additional 40-round magazines. This individual then attacked festival goers, killing three while an additional 17 people were injured. Police confronted the shooter, who died by suicide.
